Replacing the oven globe

Turn the oven off at the wall and wait until it's completely cold. Unscrew or unclip the lamp cover, which can be tight, so a rubber glove helps with grip. Pull the old globe straight out. Handle the new one with a clean cloth, since skin oil can shorten halogen life, press it into the holder, refit the cover and any seal, then restore power and test.
