fab30206404-genuine-lg-customised-screw
FAB30206404 Genuine LG Customised Screw, Replacement Fastener for LG Home Appliances

This is LG's own customised screw, part number FAB30206404. LG labels a screw as customised when its length, thread, head or shoulder is made for one particular spot, so a generic screw from the hardware shop may not hold or seat properly. We don't have the appliance or position recorded for this number. Find FAB30206404 in the exploded parts list for your LG model, or send us your model number through the parts enquiry form and we'll help check.

When an LG appliance needs its customised screw replaced

Screws inside appliances do more than hold covers on. Some locate a part, some carry the weight of a door or tub, and some clamp a seal or bracket against vibration. A customised screw is made to suit that job, so its shank length, thread pitch and head shape all matter. If a screw goes missing during a repair, strips its thread or snaps, you may notice rattling, a loose panel, a part sitting out of line or a leak at a clamped joint. Fitting the correct LG screw puts the clamping force back where LG intended.

Part details

Genuine LG part number FAB30206404

Customised screw made for a specific LG fitting position

Appliance and location not on record, confirm by part number

Order one for each position your parts diagram shows

Tips for fitting the screw

Unplug the appliance or switch it off at the wall before opening any panel. Turn the screw in by hand for the first few threads so it picks up the existing thread rather than cutting a new one. Tighten until snug, taking extra care in plastic bosses that crack easily. Run the appliance afterwards and listen for any new rattles.

Questions about this part

Is this a standard screw I could buy at a hardware store?

No. FAB30206404 is an LG customised screw, which means LG has specified its dimensions for a particular job in the appliance. A hardware store screw may look close but differ in thread, length or head, which can lead to stripped holes or parts working loose.
