It's designed to filter the water feeding a fridge's dispenser and ice maker. The original filter number it replaces isn't on our records, so compare the shape, length and connection style with the cartridge in your fridge, or send us your fridge model and we'll check it for you.

When to change a fridge water filter

Fridge water filters are there to catch sediment and improve the taste of water before it reaches the dispenser or ice maker. As a filter loads up, flow slows and it does less filtering. Signs it's due include a slow or spluttering dispenser, small or hollow ice cubes, water that tastes or smells like plain tap water again, or a filter warning light. Many fridge makers suggest a change around every six months, depending on use and water quality.

Part details

EcoAqua part EFF-6007A, also written EFF6007A

Generic aftermarket fridge water filter

Replacement cartridge for fridge water and ice dispensers

Original filter cross reference not on file, compare before ordering

Swapping the cartridge

Turn off the water supply to the fridge if your manual recommends it, and keep a towel handy for drips.
