Product details
EFF-6045A is an EcoAqua compatible water filter for Samsung fridges that use the DA97-17376B cartridge, also known as HAF-QIN. It's an aftermarket replacement rather than a Samsung branded filter, made to fit the same housing. If your fridge's current filter or user manual shows DA97-17376B or HAF-QIN, this is the EcoAqua equivalent to order.
Slow water flow or stale taste? Time to change your Samsung fridge filter
A fridge water filter works quietly in the background until it doesn't. The cartridge catches particles from the mains supply before the water reaches the dispenser or ice maker, and over time it loads up and restricts flow. Expect a slower dispenser, smaller ice or a stale taste once it's past its best. Many Samsung fridges also show a filter alert on the display. Six months is the usual change interval, and homes with poor water quality may need to swap sooner.

Changing the filter cartridge
Turn off the fridge's water supply if your user manual suggests it, and have a towel ready for drips. Remove the old cartridge, then fit EFF-6045A the same way round, turning it until it locks into place. Flush several jugs of water through the dispenser and tip them out before drinking, then reset the filter indicator on the control panel.
