Product details

EFC200157 is a generic, universal fan motor kit for fan forced ovens, built around a 12.5mm shaft. It's an aftermarket replacement for the motor that drives the fan at the back of the oven cavity, and it suits a wide range of ovens where the original motor has a matching shaft and mounting. One exception is worth knowing up front. The EFC200157 is not suitable for the Damani DOFF6SS oven.

Oven fan not spinning or making a racket?

The fan motor sits behind the rear panel of the oven and spins the blade that pushes hot air around the cavity. That moving air is what gives fan forced cooking its even heat. When the motor starts to fail, the first sign is often a grinding, squealing or humming noise once the oven warms up. Others include a fan that turns slowly or not at all, food cooking unevenly from shelf to shelf, and an oven that takes far longer to reach temperature. If the fan element glows but the blade stays still, the motor is the likely culprit.

Part details

  • Generic universal fan forced oven motor kit, part EFC200157
  • 12.5mm shaft
  • Aftermarket replacement, not made by the oven brand
  • Not suitable for the Damani DOFF6SS
Shaft 12.5mm

Before you swap the fan motor

Switch the oven off at the wall, or isolate the circuit at the switchboard if it's hard-wired, and let it cool. Hard-wired ovens should be handled by a licensed electrician. Photograph the motor wiring and note how the blade sits on the shaft before anything comes off. Compare the shaft and mounting on your old motor with this kit, then run the oven empty to check the fan spins freely and quietly.

Questions about this part

Will this motor fit my oven?

It's a universal kit, so the best check is the motor you're taking out. Compare the 12.5mm shaft and the mounting points with your old motor before ordering. If your oven is a Damani DOFF6SS, this kit won't suit it.
