Fitting the thermostat
Turn the power off at the wall socket or switchboard, then give the appliance time to cool. Photograph the wiring and note the position of any sensing bulb before removing the old thermostat. Transfer the knob and check the shaft shape matches. Fit any sensing bulb back into the same clip so it reads accurately. Have a licensed electrician do the work if the appliance is hard-wired.
