Product details
Genuine LG fan PCB, part number EBR73871301. A fan board looks after a fan motor, supplying it with power and in many cases varying its speed on instructions from the main board. LG lists it simply as a fan PCB, so the exact appliance isn't on file. Compare the number on the label of your old board with EBR73871301 to confirm you have the right part.
Fan faults that point to the PCB
If the fan in an LG appliance won't start, hunts up and down in speed, or stops after running briefly, the fan PCB is one of the suspects. The others are the fan motor itself, a jammed or iced up blade, and the wiring between them. Spin the blade by hand with the power off to make sure it turns freely. Then check the motor connections and look over the board for burn marks. A board that has failed often shows damage near the motor output or its fuse.

Changing the fan board
Power the appliance off and isolate it before removing any panels. A licensed electrician should handle anything hard wired. Note the plug positions, especially if the motor and sensor plugs look alike. Fit the new board, secure any earth screws, and check the fan starts and changes speed normally once powered up.
Questions about this part
Should I replace the fan motor at the same time?
Not unless the motor is faulty. Test the motor windings first, because a shorted motor can take out a new board. If the motor tests fine and turns freely, the board on its own is normally the fix.
