Product details
LG's EBG61107109 is a genuine thermistor assembly for air conditioners with two sensors, one for the suction pipe and one for the discharge pipe. Sensors in these positions normally live in the outdoor unit, around the compressor. LG has a whole family of EBG611 thermistors for different positions, so match this dual suction and discharge type to the one in your unit.
What a faulty discharge or suction sensor does to an LG system
The control board reads the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the compressor on the discharge line and returning on the suction line. It uses those readings to set compressor speed, manage refrigerant flow and protect the compressor from overheating. A thermistor that drifts, shorts or goes open circuit feeds the board bad information. The system may show a sensor error code, shut down soon after starting, run noisily, or cool and heat poorly. A damaged lead or corroded plug can cause the same faults, so inspect the wiring as well.

Fitting the thermistor assembly
This is a job for a licensed air conditioning technician. Turn the system off, isolate the outdoor unit, and allow time for the control board's capacitors to discharge before opening it. Note where each sensor clips onto its pipe and how the leads are routed clear of hot or moving parts. Fit the new sensors in the same spots with good pipe contact, then check the readings once the system is running.
Questions about this part
Why does the thermistor need to match exactly?
Each LG thermistor has its own sensor type, lead length and plug, and the board expects the readings of that specific sensor. A wrong thermistor can plug in yet report the wrong temperature. Match EBG61107109 to the number on your old part or your model's parts list.
