LG fridge warm or compressor running hot?
Down in the machine compartment at the back, this fan pulls air across the condenser and over the compressor to carry away the heat the fridge removes from inside. If the fan stops, that heat builds up, the compressor runs longer and hotter, and the fridge and freezer slowly lose their cold. Typical signs are warm food, a fridge that runs almost non-stop, a hot back panel, or a fan that grinds, squeals or rattles before it dies. Dust and fluff packed around the fan blade can also stall it, so clean the area when you fit the new motor.

Fitting the condenser fan motor
Unplug the fridge and slide it out from the wall. Remove the lower rear cover to reach the fan, and photograph the wiring plug and mounting before you remove anything. Transfer the fan blade if the new motor doesn't come with one, and make sure it spins freely without touching the shroud. Vacuum the condenser and compressor area while it's open, then refit the cover and plug back in.
