Part EAU62004011 is a genuine LG DC motor assembly for the indoor unit of LG air conditioners. It drives the indoor fan that pushes cooled or heated air into the room. Some indoor units have a main PCB connector that won't accept this motor's plug directly, and in that case you'll also need LG part EAD60714820 to make the connection. Compare the plug on your old motor before ordering.
LG aircon indoor fan not working? Signs of a failed DC fan motor
The indoor fan motor turns the fan that draws room air across the indoor coil and blows it back out. LG's DC motors are speed controlled by the indoor PCB, which watches a feedback signal from the motor. When the motor fails, the fan may not start at all, run at the wrong speed, stop after a few seconds, or make a grinding noise. Many LG units then show a fan motor error code and shut down, so the room stops cooling or heating even though the system seems to be on.

Fitting the indoor fan motor
Turn the air conditioner off at the circuit breaker, as split systems are hard-wired. Remove the covers, take photos of the motor wiring and fan position, then free the fan from the motor shaft before lifting the motor out. Check that the new motor's plug suits your main PCB connector before reassembly. Because fixed wiring is involved, have a licensed electrician or qualified air conditioning technician do the job.

Some LG indoor units use a main PCB connector that doesn't take this motor's plug directly. In that case you also need LG part EAD60714820 to make the connection. Compare both plugs before fitting, and ask us through the parts enquiry form if you're unsure.
