This is a generic drain pump that replaces LG part number EAU61383505 in LG front load washing machines. It mounts with three screws and has its electrical plug at the front. There are 52 LG models on file, including the WD14030D6, WD14060SD6 and WD14070SD6, the WD1409NCW and WD1408NCW, the F1069FD and F14A8FD, and older machines like the WD-1485RD and WD-14313RD.
LG front loader not draining? Check the drain pump
The drain pump sits low at the front of the machine, behind the pump filter. At the end of each wash and rinse it pushes the water out through the drain hose, and the spin cannot start until the drum is empty. Signs of a failing pump include water left in the drum, a drain error on the display, clothes coming out soaking wet, or a loud hum or grinding with no water moving. Before blaming the pump, open the filter cap at the bottom front corner and clear out any coins, hair clips or lint, because a blocked filter causes the same faults.

Fitting the drain pump
Turn the washer off at the wall, unplug it and shut the taps. Drain the remaining water through the filter cap into a shallow tray, with towels ready. Depending on the model, the pump is reached through the front panel or by tipping the machine back. Swap the hoses and plug across, tighten the three screws evenly and run a rinse and spin to check for leaks.
