Run time dropping to a few minutes is the classic sign of a worn stick vacuum battery. EAC63382208 is LG's genuine 25.2V lithium-ion pack for A9 cordless stick vacuums, cross referenced to EAC63382205 and EAC63382216. The model list covers most of the A9 family, from the A9-LITE and A9ESSENTIAL to the A9K and A9N ranges, the A9T-MAX and the A9ULTIMATE.

Is your LG A9 battery worn out?

Everything in a cordless stick vacuum runs from this pack, from the main suction motor to the powered floor head. Lithium-ion cells slowly lose capacity with every charge cycle and with age, even when the vacuum is well looked after. As they wear, you get much shorter run times, the vacuum cutting out when switched to a higher power setting, a battery that won't take a full charge, or charge lights that flash or behave oddly. A pack that has been dropped, has swollen or gets hot while charging should be taken out of use straight away.

Swapping and caring for the battery

Switch the vacuum off and remove the old pack following the steps in your owner's manual. Fit the new battery until it seats firmly, then give it a full charge on the LG charger before first use. Store the vacuum indoors away from heat, and take the old lithium-ion pack to a battery recycling drop-off rather than putting it in household rubbish.

Which number should I search for, EAC63382208 or EAC63382216?

Either works. LG has used EAC63382205, EAC63382208 and EAC63382216 for this A9 battery, so if your old pack shows any of those numbers, this is the replacement to order.
