Product details
Aktivo ultra concentrate dishwashing powder, code DW2KG, comes in a 2kg pack for use in automatic dishwashers. Because it is a concentrate, measure each dose by the label rather than filling the dispenser to the brim out of habit. A larger pack like this suits busy households that run the dishwasher most days.
Getting good results from dishwasher powder
Powder detergent lets you adjust the dose to the load, the soil level and your water hardness, which tablets cannot do. Too much can leave a white film on glasses and build up in the machine, while too little leaves food residue behind. If dishes are coming out cloudy or gritty, check the spray arms and filter are clean, the rinse aid is topped up and the dose suits your water before blaming the detergent. Store the pack sealed and somewhere dry so the powder does not clump.

Using the powder
Read the label for the recommended dose and safety directions before first use. Fill the detergent compartment, not the rinse aid dispenser, and close the lid before starting the cycle. Keep the pack sealed, dry and well out of reach of children, as dishwasher detergents can be harmful if swallowed.
Questions about this part
How much powder should I use?
Follow the dosing guide on the pack, as it is an ultra concentrate and needs less than you might expect. Lightly soiled loads or soft water usually need less, while heavy soiling or hard water may need a little more.
