Product details
DR172 is a generic 15W pilot globe with an SES base, also called E14 or small Edison screw. It is a common replacement for fridge interior lights and other appliances that take a small screw-in globe. Check that your old globe has the same screw base and wattage, and that it is the compact pilot shape, before ordering.
Fridge light not working? Check the globe first
A dark fridge makes it hard to see what is inside, and a blown globe is the usual reason. Before suspecting the light switch or a control board, swap the globe, as it is the cheapest and most common fix. Look at the old one, because blackened glass or a broken filament confirms it has failed. If a new globe still does not light, check the door switch that turns the light on and off, and the lamp holder for corrosion or melted plastic. Fitting the same wattage keeps the heat inside the lamp cover at the level the maker intended.

Changing the fridge globe safely
Switch the fridge off at the wall before touching the lamp, as the holder carries mains voltage. Remove the light cover, which usually unclips or is held by a single screw, and let the old globe cool if it has been on. Unscrew it anticlockwise, screw the new one in until it is snug, refit the cover and switch the power back on.
Questions about this part
How do I know if my fridge takes an SES globe?
Take the old globe out and look at the base. An SES or E14 base is a small screw thread about 14mm across. If yours has pins, a bayonet or a larger screw, it needs a different globe.
