Product details
If your Euromaid dryer acts as though the door is open when it is shut, this small part is often the reason. DE00209, also written DE00-209, is the genuine door switch pin listed for the Euromaid DE6KG dryer and the VVD60. It is the piece that works the door switch when the door closes, letting the dryer know it is safe to run.
Euromaid dryer won't start? Check the door switch pin
Clothes dryers will not run unless the door switch tells the controls the door is closed. The pin works with that switch, pressing its plunger as the door shuts. If the pin snaps, wears down or falls out, the switch never gets pressed, so the dryer will not start, stops when the door is bumped, or only runs when you lean on the door. Before ordering, look closely for a broken or missing pin, and check the switch itself clicks when its plunger is pushed by hand.

Fitting the switch pin
Unplug the dryer first. Compare the new pin with the remains of the old one so you know which way it faces, then clear any broken pieces from its mounting. Fit the new pin in the same position and orientation as the old one, and close the door to check you hear the switch click before running the dryer.
Questions about this part
Is it the pin or the door switch that has failed?
With the dryer unplugged, look at the pin and press the switch plunger by hand. A missing, bent or worn pin points to this part. If the pin looks fine and the switch does not click, the switch is the likely fault instead.
