Buttons not responding? Signs of a faulty button board
Each press on the control panel closes a small switch on this board, which then signals the main control or motor to act. When the board fails, individual buttons may stop working, need several presses, or trigger the wrong function. Replacing the button board
Switch the appliance off and isolate it at the wall or switchboard. Remove the control panel cover to reach the board, and photograph the cable connections before unplugging them. Hold the new board by its edges, transfer any button caps or light guides, and refit covers so moisture can't get in. Hard-wired appliances need a licensed electrician.
