Product details
COV37742301 is a genuine LG filter, supplied under LG's own part number. LG makes filters for a wide range of its appliances and each one is shaped for a particular housing, so the part number is the surest guide. If COV37742301 matches the number on your old filter, its packaging or your LG parts list, this is the right replacement. Not sure? Send your appliance's model number through our parts enquiry form.
When an LG filter needs replacing
Filters trap the dirt, grease, lint, dust or particles that would otherwise build up inside an appliance or pass back into your home. As a filter loads up, airflow or water flow drops and the appliance has to work harder. Common signs are weaker performance, longer running times, odours, a filter warning, or a filter that's visibly torn, discoloured or misshapen. Replacing it on time protects fans, pumps and motors from extra strain and keeps the appliance working the way LG designed it to.

Changing the filter
Switch the appliance off and unplug it before removing any filter. Note which way the old filter faces, as many filters are marked with an airflow arrow or only fit one way. Clean the housing, fit the new filter firmly so there are no gaps around the edges, and restore power. Reset any filter reminder if your LG appliance has one.
Questions about this part
Where is the model number on my LG appliance?
LG puts a rating label on every appliance, usually inside the door, on the back or on a side panel. Note the full model number including any suffix after the dot, as filters can change between versions.
