Fitting the rangehood switch

Kill the power at the isolator or switchboard before opening the hood, and leave hard-wired installations to a licensed electrician. Remove the filters and the panel behind the buttons. Photograph the switch wiring, move each wire across one at a time, and make sure the switch sits square so the buttons don't jam. Test the fan speeds and lights before refitting the filters.
