Part ATPCBA03 is a genuine control board assembly for rangehoods fitted with halogen lights, from the Glen Dimplex parts range. The boards in this family look alike but are made for different light and display types. ATPCB02 is the LED version and ATPCB04 suits hoods with an LCD display, while ATPCBA03 is the halogen one. Before ordering, take a photo of your existing board to compare, and check what type of globes your hood uses.
Rangehood control board faults to look for
The control board takes signals from the buttons and switches the fan motor speeds and the lights. When it fails, the hood may not respond at all, the fan may run on one speed only or refuse to turn off, the lights may stay on or stay out, and you might hear relays clicking without anything happening. Boards can also be damaged by a power surge or by grease and moisture getting inside. Check the buttons and the power supply first, as they can cause similar symptoms.

Before you replace the control board
Isolate the rangehood at the switchboard or power point first. Take clear photos of every plug and wire on the old board before unplugging anything, as the connectors can look alike. Handle the new board by its edges and keep it dry. A hard-wired rangehood should only be worked on by a licensed electrician. Test the fan speeds and lights before refitting the covers.

My rangehood has LED lights. Is this the right board?
No. ATPCBA03 is the halogen version. Hoods with LED lights use ATPCB02, and hoods with an LCD display use ATPCB04. Send a photo of your board and the hood's model number through the parts enquiry form and we'll check.
