For a rangehood that has lost its suction or started to grind, ATMTC01 is the genuine replacement motor from the Eurostyle group's AT parts series. Rangehood fan noisy, slow or not running?

The motor drives the fan that pulls steam, smoke and cooking smells up through the filters. As its bearings wear, the hood gets louder, hums, rattles or grinds, and the airflow drops even on the top speed. A motor that hums without turning may have a failed capacitor rather than a dead winding, and the AT series lists a separate capacitor, so test that first. A motor that runs hot and smells of burning, or stops altogether when the switch and board are good, is due for replacement.

Fitting a motor-only replacement

Isolate the power first, and use a licensed electrician for a hard-wired hood. Remove the filters and the motor cover, then photograph the wiring and note how the motor sits in its housing. Because this is the motor only, expect to reuse parts such as the impeller and mounting brackets from the old unit, so check they're in good condition. Run every speed after refitting to confirm smooth, quiet operation.
