ATAL62C02 is a generic large outer mesh filter that suits Euro rangehoods. It is a compatible aftermarket replacement for the mesh panel that faces the cooktop and catches the first of the grease from cooking. It is listed for the ES602SS, ES602SS2 and ES6022SS. Measure your old filter and compare its shape with the photo, as the large and smaller filters are not interchangeable.
Greasy, bent or clogged Euro rangehood filter?
The outer mesh filter is the first barrier between the cooking fumes and the inside of the hood. Layers of mesh slow the airflow enough for grease to settle out before it reaches the fan. Once the mesh is matted with grease, dented or pulled away from its frame, suction drops, the hood gets noisier and grease starts collecting on the motor and inside the ducting. Smoke and smells lingering after cooking, or oil dripping from the hood, are good reasons to replace it.

Fitting the mesh filter
Turn the rangehood and its lights off. Release the filter catch, tilt the old filter down and lift it out of its rear slot. Check the new filter is the large size and sits the same way round, then hook it in at the back and press it up until the catch holds. Washing mesh filters in warm soapy water every few weeks keeps the hood drawing well.
