Fitting the push buttons

Switch the rangehood off at its power point, or turn off the circuit at the switchboard if the hood is hard-wired. Remove the filters and any panel covering the controls, then note how the button assembly lines up with the switch behind it. Fit the new assembly in the same position and test each button before refitting the filters. Wiring work on a hard-wired hood is a job for a licensed electrician.
