AS00009731 is the genuine De'Longhi milk carafe listed for the Magnifica Start and Magnifica Evo coffee machine ranges. Both ranges include several versions, and not every version has an automatic milk system, so check that your machine takes a carafe and that its parts list shows AS00009731 before ordering.

How the Magnifica milk carafe works

The carafe holds the milk and clips onto the front of the machine, where it connects to the steam supply. When you choose a milk drink, steam draws milk up from the jug, mixes in air and heats it, then sends the froth out through the carafe's spout into the cup. Problems usually show up as milk that won't draw up, thin or bubbly froth, milk spitting from the spout, or leaks where the carafe meets the machine. Many of those come down to a blocked or worn internal part, so a new carafe is often the quickest fix when cleaning doesn't help.

Part details

Genuine De'Longhi part number AS00009731

Milk carafe for automatic milk drinks

Listed for the Magnifica Start and Magnifica Evo ranges

Check your model has an automatic milk system before ordering

Using and cleaning the new carafe

Wash the carafe parts in warm soapy water before first use and assemble them as shown in your manual.
