How the Magnifica milk carafe works

The carafe holds the milk and clips onto the front of the machine, where it connects to the steam supply. When you choose a milk drink, steam draws milk up from the jug, mixes in air and heats it, then sends the froth out through the carafe's spout into the cup. Using and cleaning the new carafe

Wash the carafe parts in warm soapy water before first use and assemble them as shown in your manual. Push the carafe firmly onto the connector until it locks. After each milk drink, run the machine's clean function if it has one, and put leftover milk back in the fridge. Take the lid apart and wash it regularly so dried milk doesn't block the passages.
