Panasonic fridge door not sealing
A door gasket closes the gap between the door and the cabinet. A magnetic strip inside the seal pulls it tight against the cabinet face, while the soft bellows section flexes to take up any unevenness. Over time the rubber hardens, splits at the corners or takes a permanent fold, so cold air leaks out and warm moist air gets in. Signs include ice or heavy frost building up near the door, condensation around the seal, the compressor running more than usual, food not staying cold or frozen, and a door that springs open slightly after closing. A torn gasket also lets mould grow in the folds.

Fitting a new Panasonic door seal
Switch the fridge off at the wall and move food to an esky. Many fridge gaskets press into a channel around the door liner, while others are held by screws under the seal. Remove the old seal starting at a corner, then fit the new one evenly around the door. If it arrives creased from packing, warm it gently with a hair dryer so the folds relax and it closes flat.
