LG produces a large number of remotes that look alike but are set up for different products, so the part number matters. If your old remote shows AKB76039704 on its label, or your LG model calls for it, this is the one to order. Lost the old remote? Send us your LG model number and we'll check it.

Is it the remote or the batteries?

A remote control sends signals to your LG product for power, settings and mode changes. Remotes fail in fairly predictable ways. Buttons stop responding or need a hard press, the remote only works from close range, battery contacts corrode after a leak, or the case cracks after a fall. Before buying a replacement, fit fresh batteries and clean the contacts, as that sorts out plenty of apparently dead remotes. If buttons still don't respond, or the remote has been lost or soaked, a genuine replacement is the reliable fix.

Part details

Genuine LG part number AKB76039704

Replacement remote control handset

Made by LG for LG products

Getting the new remote working

Fit fresh batteries the right way round, then point the remote at your LG product and try the power button. Some LG remotes need pairing before they respond fully, so check the owner's manual for the steps if nothing happens. Keep the old remote until the new one is working, and recycle used batteries properly.

Questions about this part

How do I know AKB76039704 suits my LG product?

Check the label on the back of your old remote or inside its battery cover for an AKB number.
