This is the genuine LG remote controller assembly carrying that number, supplied as a complete handset. LG uses the AKB code to identify each remote, and it's printed on the label at the back or under the battery cover. A matching code means the buttons and functions line up with your product. It replaces a lost, cracked or water-damaged LG remote.

Is your LG remote faulty or just flat?

Before buying a replacement, rule out the easy things. Flat or leaking batteries cause most remote problems, so swap them and wipe the contacts clean. Check nothing is blocking the receiver on the product itself, and that the product still works from its own buttons. You can test the remote's transmitter with a phone camera, which picks up the infrared flash when a button is pressed. A remote with no flash, keys that only work when pressed hard, or damage from a fall or a spill is due for replacement.

Part details

Genuine LG part AKB76036504

LG remote controller assembly, complete handset

Identified by the AKB code on the label

Getting the new remote working

Fit new batteries, matching the polarity marks in the compartment. Remove the batteries from the old remote before throwing it out, and recycle them where you can.

Questions about this part

What product is this remote for?

The LG product it controls isn't recorded with this part number.
