AKB74115502 is the genuine LG remote controller assembly sold under that number. LG gives each remote its own AKB code, so if the label on your handset or your product's parts list shows AKB74115502, this is an exact match. The record doesn't say which LG product it was supplied with, so match the code rather than the look.

Is it the LG remote or just the batteries?

Most remote problems start with flat or leaking batteries, so try a fresh pair first and check the contacts for white or green corrosion. If buttons still need hard presses, only work at close range, or some do nothing at all, the rubber keypad contacts or the circuit inside are usually worn. Drops crack the case and can dislodge the infrared emitter at the front. You can check the emitter by pointing the remote at a phone camera and pressing a button. On most phones, no flicker on screen means the remote isn't sending a signal.

Part details

Genuine LG part AKB74115502

Complete remote controller assembly

Replaces a lost, broken or worn LG remote

Product and model fit not on file, match the AKB code

Getting the new LG remote working

Fit fresh batteries, checking the polarity marks inside the compartment.
