Water not reaching the dispenser or ice maker on an LG fridge

A single outlet valve controls the whole water supply into the fridge. When the control board sends power to its coil, the valve opens and water flows on to the filter, dispenser and ice maker as the design allows. A burnt out coil means no water at all, while a valve that won't close fully can drip, overfill the ice tray or leave a puddle behind the fridge.
