This is the genuine LG hot water inlet valve assembly, part AJU72910901, for LG top load washing machines. It's listed for the WT-H550 and WT-H550W1. The valve controls the hot supply coming in from your tap hose, so it's the part to check when the machine won't take hot water or takes it in far too slowly. If you can, match AJU72910901 to the label on your old valve.
LG top loader not filling with hot water?
At the back of the washer, the hot valve sits where the hot tap hose screws on. A solenoid coil opens it when the wash program asks for warm or hot water, and most valves carry a small mesh screen at the inlet to stop grit getting through. When the coil fails, the machine fills with cold only, or not at all on hot settings. A valve stuck partly open lets water seep in while the washer is idle, and a cracked body shows up as a leak at the rear. Check that inlet screen for blockages before you replace anything.

Swapping the hot water valve
Turn off both taps and unplug the washer. Unscrew the hot hose and catch any water left in it. Take a photo of the wire and hose positions on the old valve before you undo anything, since the cold valve is usually close by and it's easy to mix them up. After fitting, turn the taps on, check for drips and run a warm wash to confirm hot water comes through.
