This is the genuine LG centre plate assembly, supplied new by LG. LG lists more than one centre plate under different numbers, so don't assume they swap over. The number on your old part, or in the parts list for your model, is what counts. We don't have a model list on file for AGU74008306 yet, but we can check yours.

Why you might need a new centre plate

A centre plate is a fixed part rather than a working one, so it rarely fails on its own. Most replacements follow physical damage, such as a knock during a move, plastic that has turned brittle with heat or age, a snapped mounting lug, or rust on a steel plate. A damaged plate can leave other parts loose or out of line, cause rattles, or leave an opening that lets dust or moisture into the appliance. Check the photo, the outline and the mounting holes against your old plate to be sure.

Part details

Genuine LG plate assembly AGU74008306

Centre position plate, as named by LG

Separate number from other LG centre plates, order by number

No model list on file, confirm with your LG parts list

Swapping the plate

Disconnect power at the wall first, and if the plate sits near a water connection, turn the tap off as well. Remove the old plate slowly, noting any hidden screws or clips, and lay the fixings out in order. Fit the new plate, snug the screws without overtightening, and make sure every panel around it closes properly before you power up.

Questions about this part

Is AGU74008306 the same as AGU73972117?

Both are LG centre plate assemblies, but they carry different part numbers, which normally means a different shape or a different set of models.
