AFH73149016 Genuine Drum Lifter Assembly for LG Front Load Washing Machines, LG Washer Drum Paddle

AFH73149016 is a genuine LG lifter assembly, the raised paddle on the inside of a front loader drum that lifts and drops clothes as the drum turns. It comes from the same LG AFH73149 lifter family as other washer drum paddles, but we don't hold a model list for this exact number. Check your LG parts list or note the model on your washer's rating label, then send it to us if you need a hand.

Loose or broken drum lifter in an LG washer

Lifters carry the washing up the side of the drum and let it fall back through the water, giving the tumbling action a front loader relies on to clean. A lifter that has cracked, come loose or snapped off can snag clothes, knock as the drum turns, or leave sharp edges that pull threads. Broken pieces can also find their way into the pump or wedge between the drum and tub. Replace a damaged lifter promptly before it causes more damage.

Replacing a drum lifter

Unplug the washer and turn off the taps first. Depending on the model, LG lifters either clip into slots in the drum and release with a tab or a slide, or are screwed in from the outside of the drum. Remove the old lifter, check the slots are clean, then fit the new one until it locks. Turn the drum by hand to make sure nothing catches.

Questions about this part

How many lifters do I need?

Order one for each lifter that is damaged. Front load drums usually have three, but you only need to replace the broken ones as long as the others are secure and in good condition.
