Hail can punch holes in it, harsh sun makes it brittle and chalky, and a ball, branch or garden tool can snap the bars. Missing bars leave the blade open to leaves and twigs that can jam or chip it. Signs a grille needs replacing include visible cracks or gaps, rattling from a loose section, or bits of grille lying near the unit. Check the blade for damage at the same time.

Part details

Genuine LG part number AEB75484909

LG description: Grille Assembly, Fan

Protective grille for an LG split system outdoor unit

Replacing the grille safely

Turn the unit off at the remote, then switch off the outdoor isolator and wait until the fan has stopped turning.
