The discharge grille forms the outlet where cooled or heated air leaves the unit, along the louvre opening of a wall-mounted head. LG makes several versions of this grille for different indoor units, and the sister number AEB73225701 is a separate part. With no model list on file, match AEB73225703 to your unit's label or parts list.

Why LG indoor discharge grilles are replaced

All the air the indoor unit delivers passes through the discharge grille, so its shape affects how evenly air spreads into the room. Grilles are usually replaced after physical damage, like a mounting tab broken during cleaning, a cracked outlet edge, or warping from sun or heat. A damaged grille can leave the louvres binding or sitting crooked, let the unit rattle or whistle, and allow condensation to drip from the outlet rather than draining away. Yellowed or stained grilles are also swapped to tidy up the unit.

Part details

Genuine LG part number AEB73225703

LG description: Grille Assembly, Discharge (Indoor)

Air outlet grille for an LG split system indoor unit

Fitting the discharge grille

Turn the air conditioner off with the remote, then isolate it at the circuit breaker or isolator before removing covers.
