Signs your LG fridge door gasket needs replacing
A door gasket seals the gap between door and cabinet so cold air stays inside and warm, moist air stays out. Once it splits, hardens or loses its grip, the fridge has to run longer to hold temperature. Look for frost or ice building up near the door, condensation or water droplets inside, food spoiling sooner than it should, a door that drifts open slightly, or a seal you can slide a sheet of paper past with the door shut. Mould that won't clean off or a torn corner are also good reasons to replace it.

Fitting tips for the new door seal
Unpack the gasket a day early and lay it flat so the creases relax. A hair dryer on a low setting helps soften stubborn kinks. Switch the fridge off at the wall, then remove the old seal from its channel, or undo its retaining screws if it has them, one side at a time. Press the new one in from the corners, close the door and check it touches the cabinet all the way round.
