Product details
The magnetic seal around a fridge door is what keeps the cold in. Genuine LG part ADX72930490 is a door gasket assembly for LG fridges. Fridges often use a different gasket on each door, so it matters which door you're fixing. Because no compatible models are listed for this number, check ADX72930490 against your fridge's parts list, or send us the model, before ordering.
LG fridge door seal not sealing
A fridge door gasket holds cold air in and keeps warm, moist kitchen air out. Once it splits, hardens or loses its magnetic grip, warm air leaks in around the gap. The fridge then runs longer to keep up, frost builds in the freezer, water droplets form along the door edge, and food spoils sooner. One easy check is to put a torch inside the fridge, close the door and darken the room. Any light showing around the edge marks a gap in the seal.

Fitting the new door gasket
Unpack the gasket a day early and let it relax at room temperature, or soften kinks gently with a hair dryer on low. Unplug the fridge, then peel the old seal out of its channel, starting at a corner. Press the new gasket in firmly all the way round, paying attention to the corners. Close the door and check it seals evenly before switching back on.
