Product details
ADQ72912302 is a genuine LG mesh filter assembly for LG washing machines. Its fine mesh catches lint and debris carried in the wash water, keeping it off your clothes and away from the pump. LG uses several mesh filters with very similar numbers, so compare the number and shape of your old filter with ADQ72912302 before you order.
LG washer leaving lint on clothes?
Every wash loosens fibres, hair and small bits of debris from the load. The mesh filter collects them so they aren't redeposited on the clothes or pushed through to the pump. A torn or missing mesh lets that debris through, and you start to see lint on dark clothes, slower draining or noise from the pump as it deals with things it shouldn't. A filter that's cracked, warped or won't clip in properly should be replaced rather than taped up.

Swapping the mesh filter
Turn the washer off at the wall before removing the filter. Take out the old one and note which way it faces and how it clips in. Rinse away any lint left in the housing, then press the new filter firmly into place until it seats. Run a short rinse cycle to make sure it stays put, and clean the mesh regularly to keep water moving freely.
