LG gives the dispenser name to several different parts, from detergent drawers on washers to the ice and water dispenser on a fridge door, and our stock record doesn't say which appliance this one belongs to. Because the assembly replaces the whole dispenser rather than one small piece, getting the right number matters. Compare ACZ74230510 with your old part or LG parts list before you order.

Dispenser faults a new assembly can fix

A dispenser assembly is worth replacing when the housing itself is broken or more than one part of it has failed. On a laundry or dish appliance that might mean detergent or rinse aid left behind after a cycle, a drawer or flap that won't latch, or leaks from cracked plastic. On a fridge it can show up as a dispenser that won't release water or ice, a paddle that sticks, or a cracked fascia. Rule out simpler causes first, such as a blocked line, a frozen tube or a faulty switch.

Part details

Genuine LG part number ACZ74230510

LG description: Dispenser Assembly

Complete assembly, not a single component

Changing the dispenser

Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply if the dispenser is plumbed in.
