Panasonic air conditioner louvre not swinging
Panasonic's air swing feature uses small motors to move the louvres so conditioned air can be aimed up, down or across the room, or swept automatically. The indoor board drives the motor in tiny steps, which is why a healthy louvre moves smoothly and quietly. When the motor fails the louvre may freeze in one spot, stay open after the unit is turned off, jerk or buzz, or move only part of the way. A louvre that was forced by hand can strip the motor or break its link, so check the blade and linkage when you open it up.

Changing the air swing motor
Turn the air conditioner off with the remote, then isolate it at the switchboard or isolator before opening the indoor unit. The swing motor usually sits at the end of the louvre behind a side cover, with a lead running back to the indoor board. Photograph its routing, swap the motor and test the louvre through its full travel. Hard-wired units should be serviced by a licensed technician.
