LG washer banging or walking on spin
As the drum spins, the load is never perfectly balanced, and the shock absorbers soak up that movement so it isn't passed to the cabinet. When a damper loses its resistance, the tub swings further than it should. You'll hear thumping or banging during spin, see the machine rock or walk across the floor, and may find the drum knocking against the cabinet. An unbalanced load warning can also come up more often. With the machine unplugged, the drum should feel firm when pressed down. If it bounces freely, the dampers are worn.

Fitting LG shock absorbers
Unplug the washer and turn off the taps. Access is usually through the bottom front or rear panel, depending on the model. Each damper is held by pins or clips at the top and bottom. Remove the old one, push the new one into place until it locks, and check the drum moves smoothly. If one damper has failed, the others have done the same work and are likely worn too, so replace them as a set.
