Swapping the knob over
With the appliance off and cool, grip the old knob firmly and draw it straight off its shaft. Wipe any grease from the shaft and panel. Turn the new knob until its opening matches the shaft profile, then push it on until it sits flush. Turn it through each setting to make sure it moves freely and returns to off.
