Signs the bottom element in your Ariston oven has failed

Fitting the lower element

Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker first. Hard-wired ovens must be worked on by a licensed electrician in Australia. The lower element is usually reached from the back of the oven or by lifting the oven floor panel. Photograph the terminals, fit the new element in the same position with its insulation intact, and test on a conventional bake setting.
