A/488/11/91 is a genuine ILVE burner cup for the hob of an ILVE cooker. The cup is the base that the burner head and cap sit in, holding them in position over the gas jet. When an ILVE burner cup needs replacing

Burner cups sit right in the heat of the flame and catch spills, so they take a beating. Over time they can corrode, warp or crack, and boiled-over food can block the openings for the igniter or flame sensor. A damaged cup can let the burner head sit unevenly, giving a lopsided or yellow flame, poor ignition or a burner that won't stay alight. Fitting the burner cup

Turn off the gas at the isolation valve and switch off the power at the wall. Lift off the trivet, cap and burner head. Changing the cup may involve removing the hob surface or disconnecting the igniter and flame sensor, and any gas work in Australia must be done by a licensed gas fitter. Afterwards the fitter will leak test the joints and check each burner lights with an even flame.
