Part A/458/72 is the genuine bottom element for a wide range of ILVE ovens and cookers, also listed as GLO32-03. Models on file include the 700CMP and 800TMP, the 800LMP, the 900WMP and 900CMP, the 948SSXMP, and M and MT models such as M90FMP and MT120FMP, plus the JC90MP and PWI90MP.

ILVE oven not heating from the bottom?

The bottom element sits under the oven floor and supplies heat from below for conventional baking and for functions that combine top and bottom heat. When it burns out, cakes and pies come out pale and soft underneath, the oven takes much longer to reach temperature, or conventional bake barely warms up while the grill works fine. Some elements fail with a visible break or blister, but a hidden element shows nothing, so a resistance test with a multimeter is the reliable check. A safety switch that trips when the oven is turned on can also point to it.

Replacing the bottom element

Isolate the oven at the switchboard and allow it to cool fully. Depending on the model, the bottom element is reached by lifting the oven floor panel or from behind the cooker. Photograph the terminal connections first. Most ILVE ovens are hard-wired, so the reconnection should be done by a licensed electrician.
