It's made to the original specification by an aftermarket maker, not by ILVE, and suits ILVE gas cooktops and cookers that have the triple ring wok burner. The same number is also written A0480710. The small cover sits in the middle of the burner, inside the outer ring, and has to fit exactly to keep the inner flame even.

Triple ring burner inner flame uneven?

A triple ring burner has more than one ring of flame, and the small cover is the cap that sits on the inner crown. It spreads gas from the centre ports evenly and protects the burner from spills. Intense heat, dropped pans and boil-overs eventually crack or warp these covers. Signs it needs replacing include a lopsided or yellow inner flame, flames shooting out on one side, or a cover that rocks instead of sitting flat. Without the cover the inner ring won't light or burn properly.

Part details

OEM part replacing ILVE A/048/07/10

Also written A0480710

Small (inner) cover for the triple ring burner

Suits ILVE gas cooktops and cookers

Fitting the small cover

Let the burner cool completely.
