This generic multifunction selector switch replaces ILVE part A/034/08. It is an aftermarket switch, not one made by ILVE. On file it suits the 700LMP and 800LMP, the PDW90IMP, PDL90RE3 and PD1006NMP, the PFE60MP, the MT76DMP and the PNE80MP. The selector sits behind the oven function knob, so a fault here can leave the oven stuck on one mode or not heating at all.
ILVE oven functions not working? The selector switch could be at fault
When you turn the function knob on a multifunction oven, the selector switch connects different combinations of elements, the fan and the lamp, giving you fan forced, grill, bake and other modes. Inside, the contacts carry full element current, so over time they burn, pit or weld together. Typical signs are one or more functions not heating, the oven working only in certain knob positions, elements staying on when switched off, a crackling sound or burning smell behind the panel, or melted plastic on the switch body. Check the elements as well, since a burnt out element gives a similar no heat symptom.

Fitting the selector switch
Ovens and cookers are usually hard-wired, so a licensed electrician should fit this switch. Isolate the appliance at the switchboard first. Before disconnecting the old switch, photograph it from several angles and label every wire with its terminal number, as selector switches have many connections. Transfer the wires one at a time, refit the knob and check each function heats as it should.
