Signs of a failed ERF300 fridge board
The ERF300 board is the control centre of the fridge. It reads the sensors and switches the compressor, fans, defrost heater and lights as needed. A failing board can show up as a fridge that won't cool, temperatures that swing up and down, a defrost that never happens, a freezer full of frost, a blank display or a fridge that keeps beeping. Unplug the fridge and keep the doors closed to hold the cold in while you work. Take a photo of the board and its connectors. Swap the boards, making sure each plug locks in place. Switch back on and check the fridge and freezer over the next several hours.
