What the ERF2600 board controls in your fridge
This board runs the cooling system. Temperature probes report back to it, and it switches the compressor, fans and defrost heater to hold the set temperatures. Board faults tend to show up as cabinets running too warm or too cold, a freezer that frosts over because defrost never starts, clicking with no compressor start, or a dead control panel. Before changing the board, check the power supply, door switches, temperature sensors and the defrost parts, as these fail more often and give similar signs.

Fitting the ERF2600 board
Isolate the power by unplugging the fridge before you remove any cover. A photo of the connectors before you unplug them saves guesswork later. Hold the new board by its edges, fit it into the housing the same way round, then reconnect each plug firmly. Restore power and check the fans and compressor start, then let the cabinets cool down overnight.
