Dryer won't start or stops mid-cycle? The board could be the cause
The main board controls the drum motor, heating, sensors and program timing. When it fails, the dryer might not respond at all, start and then stop after a few minutes, heat without turning or turn without heating, or show a fault code. Sensing faults can leave clothes overdried or still damp. The coating on this board helps protect it from moisture and lint, but a board can still fail from a power surge or a shorted motor or heater. Test those parts before replacing the board.

Fitting the dryer board
Unplug the dryer and give it a few minutes to discharge. Remove the top or control panel to reach the board, and photograph every connector first. Swap the plugs across one at a time. Handle the new board by its edges, away from static. Before closing up, clear lint from around the board housing. Run a short heat program and check it drives the drum and heats properly.
