The control board runs the whole wash. It reads the buttons, door switch, water level and temperature sensors, then switches the inlet valve, circulation pump, heater and drain pump in the right order. Replacing a configured board
Unplug the dishwasher, turn off the tap and pull the machine out from the cabinet if needed. Touch an earthed metal surface before handling the board, and hold it by its edges. Photograph every connector before unplugging, then move them across one at a time. Once refitted, run a full program to check filling, heating and draining. If your dishwasher is hard-wired, have a licensed electrician do the job.
